Latitude and Longitude, I am struggling setting up the GPS coordinate, how can I do it? can you help?
Google Maps.
We suggest to use the satellite view in Google Map and copy them:
1. open Google Map,
2. browse on your mooring location,
3. select the satellite view in the option
(instead of the classic road view, you can actually see other boats)
4. then click with the mouse on the position/spot of your mooring
(or hold for 2 second your finger on mobiles)
5. you will see a red balloon appearing showing you the exact coordinates
6. Copy them and paste them into MakeFastMooring Latitude and Longitude
Can I list my mooring but "stop/disable" eventual bookings for now? How?
Yes.
List it as usual, then in each mooring configuration there is a flag "Disable booking? ON/OFF", simply set it to "ON" and no one will be able to book your mooring:
On the published public page of your mooring, there will be no more any booking button.
Your mooring will be still visible, you can still advertise it and people can eventually contact you via the internal messaging system.
Latitude and Longitude, I am struggling setting up the GPS coordinate, it says too short or too long.
Add "0" zeros at the end or remove the last digits.
To ensure coordinates precise enough we force this field to be 23 digits, for example: +40.6891860, -74.044590.
If you need help, write "to be updateddddddddddd" we will update it for you, just write in the info the coordinates/location you know.
I love the MAP view when browsing from my computer, why I cannot from my mobile?
Currently it is not available by default, mobile version wants to be very light and simple but, you can still access and use it from your mobile. Just select in your mobile browser, if available, the setting "Request desktop site" and you will access MakeFastMooring like from you PC, same view.
I am NOT sure if I want to rent my mooring or not, should I list it?
Yes.
You (host) can always decline a booking request with no cost.
We always suggest to list it, in any case when you create/configure your mooring if you leave the flag "Confirm reservations manually" configured to "ON", you (host) have to manually review and click accept or decline before the booking get confirmed and money transferred. To be on the safe side, the default value/configuration for this flag is always "ON" unless manually changed.
I am sure that I want to rent my mooring, I want the process to be automatic. Can I avoid to being contacted or review and accept incoming requests? How?
Simply make sure that your listing have all the info required to access/use your mooring and when you create/configure your mooring change the flag "Confirm reservations manually" to "OFF".
Doing so the platform will automatically accept any incoming request at the price you decided and only if the new booking is not overlapping with any previous booking (if overlapping the website won’t allow the guest to send a booking request)

Absolutely YES. Please do.
Since we started, we introduced many functionalities and many of them have been suggested directly from the users.
We really think that is the best win-win for everybody.
What is the difference between a Marina berth and a Swing Mooring?
The type of mooring.
In short this differentiation is just to let you filter what kind of mooring are you after, you can think:
Marina Berth = fix classic Berth or similar, usually inside a marina/port.
Swing mooring = Buoy or similar, usually near a shore.
In both cases when describing/configuring your mooring (either of them) you will find specific parameters/fields to fully describe it (size, type, etc).
I am not sure I configured the price or availability correctly? how can I double check?
Just open your mooring, as if you were a guest, select the period you want to check, and try to book it (click "Review & Book" but do not sent the actual booking request), you will see the summary and you can check if all makes sense.
